When the summer game viewing gets tougher because of the denser growth, why not concentrate on the 560 species of birds to be seen across the portfolio. The southern hemisphere summer is when many birds are in their technicoloured breeding plumage and migrants from Africa, Europe and Asia swell the avian species count considerably.

   Impalila Island Lodge
Six different vegetation biomes surrounding Impalila Island (where the four countries meet), containing Swamp Boubou, Olive Woodpecker, Schalow’s Turaco – the highest bird count in the portfolio will be experienced at Impalila. Explore the riverine covered islands and discover a number of Caprivi endemics.
Accommodation is offered in eight en-suite chalets all with river views echo colours of Africa.

Ntwala Island Lodge
Watch Rock Pratincole on the rocks of the Zambezi from the confines of your bedroom or the iridescent Half-collared Kingfishers which nest below the lodge’s decks. African Skimmer is a frequent fly-by. Possible sightings of Pels Fishing Owl, African Finfoot and even Ross’s Turaco (seen in 2010).
Ntwala Island Lodge comprises of four ultra luxury styled suites artfully appointed, each inclusive of a private plunge pool fringed by white sand and opulent viewing deck, bay bath feature; indoor and outdoor shower; as well as a private sala extending enticingly out over the water.

Susuwe Island Lodge

restful interior of just six personally attended suites, including wooden viewing platform and private plunge pool, is a haven of calm and respite, an airy dreaming space to recharge the senses.

Deception Valley Lodge
The dry savannas of the Kalahari, harbours the likes of Kori Bustard, Swallow-tailed Bee Eater, Double-banded Courser, Crimson-breasted Shrike and 4 species of sandgrouse. Birds of Prey are perhaps the biggest avian attraction, with ten eagle species, five vultures, many smaller raptors, plus eight owl species and the curious oddity, the Secretarybird all regularly seen from the lodge.
